Panther Creek Wind Farm (Phase I and II) – Big Springs, TX

TVIG was BOP general contractor for E.On’s 258 MW capacity Panther Creek Wind Farm, the largest wind project built in 2008. TVIG’s scope of work included 55 miles of roads, 172 WTG foundations, the turbine erection, electrical collection system and overhead power lines. The 45-square mile west Texas site was dotted with oil and gas wells, which presented many challenges. The project provides energy to the ERCOT system.
